It opens closes well and weighs approx. 10. 43g. The size dimensions are in the later photos. As to be expected with the items age, it isn't stamped hallmarked, it tests for high grade silver (800+). The jump ring and fixed bail loop are base metal. There are some dark black patina marks on the inside of the locket which I can't clean
