The history side of this design is the 1910 Submarine Armor by Chester E. Macduffee. According to Popular Mechanics Magazine, this atmospheric suit traveled to a depth of 212 ft back in 1914, which established a new deep sea diving record. The second piece to this design is a Siren Mermaid swimming behind the armored diving suit. I pulled this idea from
